Water and/or sewer service may be discontinued by either calling the Customer Service Department at (843) 443-8202 during business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday or by visiting the Administrative Building at 166 Jackson Bluff Road in Conway.
The following information is needed when discontinuing service:
- Account number and/or account name
- Social Security Number/FID # applicable to the account
- Date in which water and/or sewer service needs to be disconnected
- Forwarding address for final bill and/or return of security deposit
- Daytime telephone number
At least a 24-hour notice must be given prior to water and/or sewer service being disconnected. Due to the transit nature of GSWSA’s service area, one may only disconnect service Monday through Thursday. Once service at the location is disconnected, the account will automatically transfer back to the property owner. Even though the water and/or sewer service is not connected, a monthly base charge will be billed to the property owner’s address.
