Sewer Backups
Call GSWSA before you call your plumber. Let us first take a look at the problem to determine responsibility. Don't take chances and incur costs for a plumber when GSWSA may be able to fix the problem for free.
If you experience a sewer backup, please contact Field Communications at (843) 234-8460 or (843) 443-8200 after hours. Sewer backups may result from problems in the customer’s line or in the utility’s line.
GSWSA personnel are available 24/7 to investigate sewer backups and either advise the customer if it is a problem which occured outside of GSWSA's responsibility, or provide corrective action if the problem is within GSWSA’s responsibility. There is no charge to the customer for this service.
