Discontinuing Service

Water and/or sewer service may be discontinued by either calling the Customer Service Department at (843) 443-8202 during business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday or by visiting the Administrative Building at 166 Jackson Bluff Road, Conway or the Marion Office at 510 Supply Road, Marion.

The following information is needed when discontinuing service:

  • Account number and/or account name
  • Social Security Number/FID # applicable to the account
  • Date in which water and/or sewer service needs to be disconnected
  • Forwarding address for final bill and/or return of security deposit
  • Daytime telephone number
  • Service location

At least a 24-hour notice must be given prior to water and/or sewer service being disconnected.  Due to the transit nature of GSWSA’s service area, one may only disconnect service Monday through Thursday.
