Smart Irrigation
Grand Strand Water & Sewer Authority is asking for your help to reduce demand on our water system by irrigating more efficiently. By making a few simple changes, you can help improve water pressure during peak morning hours while conserving one of our community's most valuable resources.
1. Skip Irrigating on Mondays
Avoid watering on Mondays to help reduce peak system demand and allow the water system to recover after the weekend.
2. Water Based on Your House Number
| House Number | Recommended Watering Days |
|---|---|
| Odd | Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday |
| Even | Wednesday, Friday, Sunday |
3. Avoid Watering Between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM
Watering during these hours places additional demand on the water system when customers are using water for showers, cooking, and other daily activities.
Whenever possible, irrigate before 6:00 AM or after 9:00 AM.
Why Smart Irrigation Matters
- Helps maintain water pressure throughout the system.
- Supports reliable fire protection.
- Reduces unnecessary water use.
- Promotes healthy lawns with more efficient watering.
Thank you for helping Grand Strand Water & Sewer Authority conserve water and ensure reliable service for all of our customers.
